Remy, Bill

Bill Remy is President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the TBM Board of Directors. He has over twenty-five years of leadership experience in general management and manufacturing operations. Bill’s areas of expertise include operational performance improvement through LeanSigma deployment in manufacturing operations, supply chain, product development and project management. He has experience in broad phases of business leadership across various industries including aerospace and defense, railway, industrial and agricultural equipment, technology and process automation. Bill returned to TBM in the summer of 2011 after working at Invensys as Vice President, Continuous Improvement. Prior to Invensys, Bill led the initiative to develop and launch TBM’s lean supply chain practice. At Invensys Bill led the implementation of the company’s global continuous improvement programs for three business units with more than 20,000 employees operating in 80+ countries. The program delivered over £100 million in annual productivity improvements, trained more than 3,000 associates and completed over 5,000 kaizen events or projects during a three-year period. Prior to joining TBM the first time, Bill was president of Thayer Aerospace, where he tripled the business in six years, improved profitability and increased inventory turns by instilling lean methods. In previous positions, he developed manufacturing cells and key performance metrics, focused on throughput and lead-time reduction and implemented various setup-reduction activities. His broad base of experience includes roles at Learjet/Bombardier, Lockheed-Martin, Allied-Signal and Intel Corporation. Bill has worked closely with global clients from private equity and industry to develop supply chain improvements, implement lean operating systems, and accelerate value creation through the adoption of operational excellence. He is a trusted advisor to the Rank Group, TPG, C&A, Franklin Electric, Vermeer, Tupperware, Carlisle Corporation and many other large, multi-national organizations. He has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
