Randy Watson is a highly accomplished and profoundly transformative senior executive. He graduated from OSU’s School of Industrial Engineering and Management in May 1989. Since that time, he has embraced a series of manufacturing, technical, leadership, and strategic roles with ever-increasing levels of responsibility. Randy is married to his college sweetheart Kay, and they have two wonderful adult children.
Upon graduation from OSU, Randy joined Webco Industries, Inc., a specialty steel tube manufacturer in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He spent the next four years learning tube making and the machinery associated in a manufacturing engineering role. He then joined
Southwestern Pipe Company in Houston, Texas as Engineering Manager and later as Plant Manager. Four years later, Randy returned to Webco to lead its steel tube weld mill operations. In 2000, he assumed the position of divisional Vice President. In this role, Randy led the division in a cultural transformation that was based on Franklin Covey™ principles, as well as, Randy’s own deep personal passion for organization development and training. Randy is a great believer in the importance of a company’s culture and the positive effects it has on all stakeholders, and especially customers and employees.
