IEM Students Awarded MHEF Scholarships

MHEF is an independent charitable organization that was established in 1976 with a mission to promote the study of material handling, logistics and supply chains by exposing students and educators to the industry through financial support. Since 1976, more than $2.5 million in scholarships and grants have been awarded to students at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. 45 scholarships were awarded for the 2017/2018 academic term for a total of $146,100. The following scholarships were awarded by MHEF.

The Howard Bernstein Scholarship Fund was established in 2012 to provide scholarships to students who have committed to the material handling, industrial distribution, engineering, logistics and supply chain industries. The Fund is managed and administered by the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc., an IRC 501C3 charitable organization. The program goal is to attract talented students to an exciting, diversified future in material handling. Since 2012, 34 $5,000 scholarships have been awarded to students for a total of $175,000.


Zechariah  Shrum

Zezhariah was awarded the Howard Bernstein Scholarship in the amount of $5,000.


Ashutosh Atre

Ashutosh was awarded the Storage Manufacturers Institute/ John Nofsinger Honor Scholarship in the amount of $3,000 .


Ronny Pacheco

Ronny was awarded the Lift Manufacturers Association Honor Scholarship in the amount of $1,500.


Akshay Nigade

Akshay was awarded the Rack Manufacturer Institute Scholarship/ John Nofsinger Scholarship in the amount of $2,500.
